Backlog

Definition

The prioritized list of all work that needs doing but has not started. In Scrum, the product owner maintains it; items are pulled into sprints during planning.

Why It Matters

A well-maintained backlog means the team always knows what is next. A messy one becomes a dumping ground for requests that never get triaged.
