Email Automation
Email Automation
Overview
Email Automation helps you send timely, consistent communications without manual effort. You can automate follow‑ups inside pipelines and use connected mailboxes for direct sending.
Pipeline email steps
- Pipelines support a “Send email” action that delivers a message to the contact at the right time in the sequence.
- You choose the sending mailbox (from your connected accounts) and set the message content.
- Each email step runs after its configured delay, so sequences go out on schedule.
What you can configure per step:
- Sending mailbox: pick from your connected user mailboxes.
- Email type: plain text is supported in pipeline steps.
- Message body: the text that will be sent to the contact.
Connected mailboxes
- Emails are sent through your connected accounts (e.g., Gmail) using the selected mailbox.
- If a token refresh is needed, the system handles it automatically during sending.
Timing and reliability
- Pipeline processing checks for due steps every minute and sends emails when their delay has passed.
- If a step completes successfully, the next step in the pipeline is scheduled automatically.
Draft and manual emails
- You can also create draft emails from the assistant (manager bot) flow; drafts are saved to your Outgoing Email queue and can be sent from your connected mailbox.
Practical examples
- Lead nurture: After a contact is added, send an introduction now, a follow‑up tomorrow, and a reminder a few days later.
- Onboarding series: Send a welcome message, then scheduled tips to help new users get started.
