Rapport de statut hebdomadaire avec MCP : fait, à venir, bloqué par projet

Aggregate Corcava task changes and produce stakeholder-ready status updates using MCP. This reporting playbook shows you how to compile done, next, and blocked items by project, format reports for different audiences, and attach links to key tasks.

Ce que ce workflow permet

Weekly status reporting with MCP transforms task data into stakeholder-ready updates:

  • Aggregated progress: Compile completed tasks across all projects
  • Next steps visibility: Surface upcoming work and priorities
  • Blocker tracking: Identify and highlight blocked items by project
  • Multiple formats: Generate reports as bullet lists, email-ready text, or Slack-ready messages
  • Task linking: Include direct links to key tasks for easy reference

Prérequis

Before using this workflow, ensure you have:

Workflow pas à pas

Step 1: Aggregate Completed Tasks

Start by gathering tasks that were completed this week:

Completed Tasks Prompt

"Generate a weekly status report. First, list all tasks that were completed this week (status changed to 'done' in the last 7 days). Group them by project and include: task title, who completed it, and completion date."

What the AI does:

  1. Calls list_tasks with filters for completed tasks
  2. Filters by updated_at date (last 7 days)
  3. Groups tasks by project using list_projects
  4. Summarizes completed work by project

Step 2: Identify Next Steps

Gather upcoming work and priorities:

Next Steps Prompt

"Now, identify what's next: list tasks that are 'in_progress' or 'open' with due dates in the next 2 weeks. Group by project and prioritize by due date. Include task title, assignee, and due date."

What the AI does:

  1. Calls list_tasks with status and due date filters
  2. Prioritizes by due date and project importance
  3. Groups upcoming work by project

Step 3: Surface Blocked Items

Identify blockers by project:

Blocker Detection Prompt

"Find all blocked items: tasks with status 'blocked', overdue tasks, and tasks with many comments but no recent progress. Group by project and include: task title, why it's blocked, and who owns it."

What the AI does:

  1. Filters tasks by status: "blocked"
  2. Finds overdue tasks
  3. Analyzes task activity patterns
  4. Groups blockers by project

Step 4: Format the Report

Choose the appropriate format for your audience:

Formatting Options

Bullet List Format:

"Format the status report as a clean bullet list, organized by project. Use simple formatting that's easy to scan."

Email-Ready Format:

"Format the status report as an email-ready message. Include a brief intro, organized sections by project, and a closing. Make it professional and concise."

Slack-Ready Format:

"Format the status report for Slack. Use emoji for visual cues (✅ for done, 🚧 for blocked, 📋 for next), keep it concise, and use Slack-friendly formatting."

Step 5: Attach Task Links

Include direct links to key tasks:

Task Linking Prompt

"For each key task mentioned in the status report, include a direct link to the task. Format links as: [Task Title](https://corcava.com/tasks/{task_id}). Make sure all important tasks have clickable links."

What the AI does:

  1. Identifies key tasks (completed, next, blocked)
  2. Generates task URLs using task IDs
  3. Formats links in the chosen output format
  4. Includes links in the final report

Complete Workflow Prompts

Here are complete, copy-paste ready prompts:

Full Weekly Status Report

"Generate a weekly status report from my Corcava tasks: 1. List all tasks completed this week (status changed to 'done' in last 7 days), grouped by project 2. List all tasks that are next (in_progress or open, due in next 2 weeks), grouped by project 3. List all blocked items (blocked status, overdue, or no recent progress), grouped by project 4. Format as a bullet list, organized by project 5. Include direct links to all key tasks mentioned 6. Make it stakeholder-ready and easy to scan"

Use this when: You want a complete weekly status report

Email-Ready Status Report

"Generate an email-ready weekly status report. Include: - Brief intro summarizing the week - Done section (completed tasks by project) - Next section (upcoming work by project) - Blockers section (blocked items by project) - Professional closing Format it as an email message with proper sections and include task links."

Use this when: You need to send a status update via email

Slack Status Update

"Generate a Slack-ready weekly status update. Use: - ✅ for completed tasks - 📋 for next steps - 🚧 for blockers - Keep it concise (2-3 sentences per project) - Include task links Format for Slack with emoji and brief summaries."

Use this when: You're posting to a Slack channel

Workflow Variants

Variant 1: Project-Specific Report

Focus on a single project:

"Generate a status report for the [Project Name] project only. Include done, next, and blocked items for this project."

What happens: AI filters tasks by project before generating report

Variant 2: Executive Summary

Create a high-level summary:

"Generate an executive summary status report. Focus on: - Overall progress (number of tasks completed) - Key milestones reached - Top 3 blockers - Next week's priorities Keep it brief (one paragraph per section) and avoid task-level details."

What happens: AI creates a high-level summary instead of detailed task list

Variant 3: Team-Focused Report

Organize by team member:

"Generate a status report organized by team member. For each person, show: - What they completed this week - What they're working on next - Any blockers they have Group by person, then by project."

What happens: AI organizes report by assignee instead of project

Example: Complete Status Report Session

Here's a real example of how a status report session flows:

User Prompt

"Generate a weekly status report. Include done, next, and blocked items, grouped by project. Format as a bullet list with task links."

Troubleshooting

No Completed Tasks Found

Symptom: Report shows no completed tasks

Possible causes:

  • No tasks were marked as done this week
  • Date filter is too narrow
  • Tasks are in a different workspace

Fix: Try "last 2 weeks" instead of "this week", or check different projects

Report Too Long

Symptom: Status report is overwhelming

Possible causes:

  • Too many tasks included
  • AI included too much detail

Fix: Ask for summary: "Generate a brief status report, top 5 items per section"
