Track Time in the Browser

Track Time Without Leaving the Browser

When you're already working in Corcava, you can start and stop time with one click from the header. No need to switch to the desktop app or use the API for everyday tracking.

Where to Find It

Look for the time tracker chip in the top header (when you have permission to add manual time). It shows "Start tracking" when you're not tracking, or the current project and elapsed time when you are.

How to Use

  1. Start — Click the chip, choose a project (and optionally a task assigned to you), add an optional note, then click Start.
  2. Stop — Click the chip and choose Stop.
  3. Add a note — While tracking, open the chip and click "Add note" to attach a note to the current interval.
  4. Switch task — Choose "Switch task" to stop the current session; you can then start again with a new project or task.

When You Step Away

If you leave the tab open or are away for a while, when you return you may see a short reconcile dialog. You can:

  • Stop at last active — End the interval at the last time we detected activity (recommended).
  • Keep running — Continue the timer from now.
  • Split as idle — Stop at last active (same as the first option for now).

This keeps your time data accurate without requiring you to remember to stop before stepping away.
